Musical Endeavors of A Dog (Gluttony)

Nai stared ahead at the complete white scenary around them. He grunted, knowing all too well that he looked around ten. He also looked like a girl, expessially when he's in a dress. How he knows? Let's just say that the orphanage has some scarey kids there. The neko felt his eyes closing on him. The cold seemed to be taking a cold on him. Being part cat, he was supposed to search for something or someone warm to be with. Tora was the only warm being around. The boy's eyes closed, his breath slowed down, and he was asleep in a matter of moments.

The neko-jin's breathing started to return to normal as he started to wake up. He blinked a few times, small clumps of snow falling off as he did. The boy stared at the house infront of them. It was pretty big for a state alchemist. "Sugoi..." A single Japanese word escaped his mouth as he stared at the house in awe. "Is... Is this really where you live, Ame-san?" He asked, stuttering at first.

Nai stared in awe at the inside of the house. He had never seen a place so big. There were even lights! Oh, wow... He really didn't know too much when it came to things like these. It's probably from him being locked in that dark basement for almost all of his life. The boy snapped back to reality when he was set down. Nai shook his head a bit, the now-melted snow that was on there spraying everywhere. "I... I'm fine." He replied, his tail twitching beside him. "Do you live here all alone?" The boy asked, tilting his head. In such a big house, it would be lonely for one to live all by his or herself.

Nai stared down at the ground, a small glimmer of sadness in his eyes. He never had a family, so he wouldn't know what it was like to actually live with them and watch them leave. The neko boy only looked back up at Tora when he asked a question. He nodded, a small shiver running up his spin. No matter what, he would be cold. Maybe it was because his clothing was now wet from the melting snow. He really did need to change, though his only other pair of clothing, hand-me-downs from the older kids at the orphanage that had a hole cut into the pants for his tail, was back at the orphanage. Another shiver ran up his spine. He didn't like feeling so helpless in times like this, though he was always helpless, no matter what.

Nai blinked. He looked down at his tail, watching it flick back and forth. "Wh... What about my tail? N... Normal pants aren't good with tails, unless a-a hole is cut into them..." The boy seemed to be shivering a bit more, the wetness of his clothing starting to seep in.

Nai flattened his ears against his head, feeling as if he had been abandoned when Tora went out of sight. His ears then perked back up, the feeling of abandonment vanishing, when the older alchemist appeared again. The neko stared at the clothing, a small blush forming on his face (again) at the thought of changing infront of the man. He was a bit relieved when Tora turned away so that he could change. The boy slid off his uniform coat, careful that he didn't kill his arm. He then stripped off his shirt, kicked off his boots (his socks thankfully dry), and stripped of his pants. The boy grabbed the shirt first, sliding his head through the opening for his head, and then sliding his hands through the short sleeves. He then grabbed the jeans, slipping each leg into it. (I'm just going to say that the hole's there already, 'cause you never said. DX) His tail found its way through the cut-out hole, twitching happily. Nai blinked, thinking for a moment. Why was this man being so nice to him? Most of the other people he had (somewhat) communicated with were plain rude. However, this guy was different. He was kind, polite, and he even took him in and gave him a change of clothing for while the blizzard came through. What are his motives? Nai shook his head, clearing his thoughts. He shouldn't be suspicious of the older alchemist after all Tora has done for him. Nai took a few steps forwards, using his left hand to pull on the man's sleeve. "I'm done." He said, his voice soft and childish.

Nai looked down at the clothing, inspecting it. Yeah, it fit fine. Well, better than the uniform. The boy nodded, his tail twitching down by his feet. Nai was still shivering, but it wasn't as bad as before. He looked up at Tora, tilting his head to the side a bit. "So... What now?" He asked, teetering back and forth on his heels.

The blonde's ears pricked at the sound of food. Even if Tora wasn't a good cook, the chance at a decent meal was all that Nai wanted. His tail lashed back and forth, and the thought of food made his stomach growl. The neko nodded, smiling for the first time that day. "Food! Food!" He cheered, bouncing up and down.

Nai stopped bouncing and thought for a moment. What did he want? His inner cat was getting the best of him, so he was craving fish. Did Tora have fish? That was something he'd have to find out by asking. The boy blinked, staring up at the tall man, his blue eyes round. "Fish?"

The boy's blonde cat ears perked up, his tail flicking happily. He was finally going to be able to taste fish! All they served at the orphanage was rice and beans. That must be why he was so small. No, wait. He was always small. Keh. Nai took the man's waving hand as an signal to follow, and he did so. The boy pranced after Tora, his blue eyes inspecting each detail of the house as he went, making a mental map in his head, which would soon probably vanish. He got lost easily, no matter how many times he tried to make a mental map. The neko slowed down his pace once they were in the kitchen. He stopped a the entrance, his gaze sweeping over it in awe. So, this was what a kitchen looked like? He was never able to go into the kitchen at the orphanage, just like all the other kid. Man, it seemed as if he were one of those rich kids who was never ever able to leave their room. Oh, wait. He never left the basement, so I guess that could count.

Nai flattened his ears a little, a slightly impatient and childish "Fine" escaping his mouth, his tail twitching low to the ground. The boy continued to investigate the kitchen, making sure that he didn't bump into or get into Tora's way while doing so. He didn't care how the fish came out. He was hungery, and that was that.

Nai took the plate, staring at the fish on it with hunger. The boy looked up, answering the man's question before digging in. "Water, please." Once he finished his short sentence, he dug into the fish, finishing it off with a few large bites. His blonde tail curled with pleasure. His first fish, and it tasted great. "Thanks for the fish, Ame-san!" A purr rumbled in his throat.

Nai stopped purring, taking the glass of water and chugging it down. Wait... Why was he so open all of a sudden? Doki doki. A small blush formed on the boy's face again, and he started to cough. The neko set the cup down, allowing himself to stop choking on the water. Why had his heart started to race? The boy coughed a bit more, making sure that no water flooded into his lungs. He really shouldn't think about things while eating or drinking.
